Guzheng!!!

Officially start!

OK everything is finalized now.

First session of Guzheng alumni will start on 8 sept, Sat. and 15 sept is the performance. so we only have one session of practice before the performance. Very sorry for this but we all have to work harder for the performance already.

We will be playing 彝族舞曲 for the performance. Please practise before you come for the practice on 8 sept. i understand that many of us haven't touched guzheng for a long time. but just try your best and practise hard in the limited time left. For the performanance, maybe a small group will suffice so that it's easier to coordinate.

We need at least 6 people for the performance. at least 2 people from each sections. If the need arises, we may need to reshuffle people for the 3 sections.

For the first practice session on 8 Sept, it will probably be a longer session. because it's the one and ONLY practice b4 the performance. Maybe i will request 2pm to 6pm. but in future, practice will be 4pm-6pm every other saturday. Extremely light committment. Just 4 hours a month.

I will be meeting the alumni chairperson and zhss principal to discuss some admin matters. so on the first practice, we need to assign ourselves to each guzheng. Every guzheng has a number and i will need to create a list of who is assigned to which guzheng. We are responsible for the well-being of the guzhengs.

Expect another sms to inform you about the exact details of the first practice. Tentatively,
